I really like fictional assassins, e.g. Steven Brust's Vlad Taltos. I see fiction as giving me an opportunity to identity with and be entertained by people who I really wouldn't much like or approve of in real life, such as thieves, assassins, and other antiheroic types. It also helps when they have a quirk or or scruples about killing certain types of characters; this can make them more interesting, in my opinion.

Hi Jennifer,
I have read a lot of books where the assassin is a guy and enjoyed them very much. I can't wait to read your story about Gin, who is a very rockin' gal. I read the excerpt and just love the whole premise!

Linda -- I hope so. I know that I've always liked to read assassin characters myself.

Leni -- Me too. I don't really like it when they have a lot of angst or guilt over what they do.
