The Sci Fi Channel, relaunching on July 6th as SyFy, is remaking the 1988 classic scifi movie/series Alien Nation. Tim Minear (Angel, Firefly) is writing the series.

Ugh. No way! I’m not trying to distance myself from science fiction. They’ve done enough of that with airing wrestling. It’s become such a joke, I’m actually glad they are changing they’re name if they aren’t going to stick with the genre.
