I'm not a Trekkie but this trailer makes me really want to see this movie. And as for the Motor City Comic Con, I've only one been to that one last year but I checked out the website and some of the guests look exciting to me. Especially John Schneider, Kristy Swanson and Taimak.

Just an FYI about the Countdown Comics...issue 3 and 4 are already sold out at the distributor level as retailers have upped the orders by a lot.

So don't wait to pick up issue 3 and 4 is my advice.

I always read the novelizations when they hit before the movie. I remember being so mad at Star Trek 3 when they didn't have the Spock/Savik scene on the Genesis planet.

Also for those that don't know...there is a prequel to the new STar Trek Movie in comic book form called Star Trek: Countdown. Written by the movie writers this links the Next Gen era to new movie crew...it's terrific. 1st issue is out of print and already hitting $25. Wait for the trade as it will be out in time for the movie....

No problem. As for Motor City.. this may be the first year that I don't go, unless they get some better guests signed up! There isn't anyone listed that I'd care to go up for. It's pretty disappointing!
