The Down Home Zombie Blues

The Down Home Zombie Blues, by Linnea Sinclair, gives a twist to the classic zombie invasion story.
Detective Theo Petrakos comes upon a strange crime scene surrounding a mummified corpse. When a beautiful stranger warns him of impeding danger, Theo quickly discovers that the entire planet may be in danger. Jorie Mikkalah is a soldier who has traveled the galaxy fighting zombies that now threaten Earth. Jorie and Theo must now team up to combat the deadly invaders, protecting Earth and trying to remain hidden.
Sinclair, again, blends an exciting science fiction story with a strong romantic theme. And as a fan of alien invasion stories, this is by far my favorite of her novels. The zombies are controlled by an intelligent force, making them more than just mindless killers. And the character of Theo is made all the more fun by delving into his Greek heritage quite a bit.
Combining action, zombies, high-tech scifi, and romance, The Down Home Zombie Blues will warm you up a cold night.
The Down Home Zombie Blues releases tomorrow, November 27th, from bookstores everywhere.

The bookcover and title are extremely cheezy but I am a fan of a good ol’ alien invasion story.

Damn I’d buy this for the title alone. It’s on my list!

I’ve been hearing about this novel for about a year now because I follow her agent’s blog. It might be a good “off topic” (non-debut) novel for me to get into!
