You have NO idea how much I squealed to see my name listed among these writers. Omg, I am overwhelmed with excitement.
I’m on a list with David Eddings! Eeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Queen of the Orcs looks really interesting. Thanks for pointing me in Ms. Howell’s direction.

Ann – I’m trying to score points to get my hands on a review copy.

That’s funny. I saw Grimspace on there and laughed out loud. Hey! It’s Ann’s book! Awesome

These are great. Quees of Ors really caught my eye. I’ll have to check more of these out tonight.

I heard a rumor you were pimping our buddy Ann Aguirre… had to check it out for myself.
I’m DYING to start the Naomi Novik series. One of these days…

If you promise me pimpage, we can work something out. *grins* If you’re serious, I’m keeping a list of the blogger / reviewers who’ve contacted me to ask for an ARC, so drop me an e-mail and I’ll add you to it.

It’s funny that I’ve never even considered reading science fiction since I’m totally into sci-fi movies and TV shows. Thank you for the list and providing excerpts.

Oh I LOVE Brian Lumley’s work! Did you read Blood Brothers? OMG! Awesome!
And what a great idea to do a TT on book excerpts! Cool.

I really want to pick up a copy of The Dark Lord. That one really seems like it should be good.

Ann – Will do!
Samara – Well, I hope you find some that you enjoy…
Cassandra – I haven’t.. Quite a few of those that I chose to post above, I just thought looked interesting.. Convincing myself to pick them up!
Katie – I’m just starting Dark Lord today. The cover is gorgeous!

What a great way to support fellow writers, I may have to gather up a few genres of excerpts for my next few TTs. I love it.

I really want to read Grimspace–what a neat name and premise!! Happy TT!

Interesting works there.
September 13th, 2007 at 3:20 pm
Very interesting, definitely ones to check out.

Some of those are on my TBR list already. Wintersmith actually has been out for a while in Canada, but it is just getting released in the US if I understand correctly. I think it is going to be one of my next purchases. I saw the Orc book in the bookstore the other day, there is more than one of them, I was considering it. I had never heard of them before, and I am trying not to impulse buy too much because there are so many other books I want!
And, everyone should read Naomiv Novik, I love her books. Apparently I need to go look more into Grimspace, seems to have a following already.

Thank you for the excerpts. I discovered a few new titles for my In Store Browse list, from which books move to my TBR pile.
I appreciate the effort.

That was almost like a browze through the bookstore. The only thing missing was the smell of the new books as you open them…

It’s fantastic that you included Glenda Larke’s ‘Heart of the Mirage’. Glenda is a terrific writer, whose worldbuilding skills are among the best in the business (I think!) She’s a fascinating, amazing woman who pours her heart and soul into her books.

Nice list.
Grimspace is a decent name. That being said, what is it about?
September 14th, 2007 at 7:23 am
Thanks so much for the links. Great idea. I have read most of David Eddings……

Julia – If I could figure out how to do that, I’d be a rich woman!
Karen – I’m looking forward to checking that one out, as well as your Innocent Mage and Awakened Mage! (I may have to request them from Orbit, since they haven’t sent them yet.) Thanks for stopping by!
Blue Tyson – That’s why I have links to the excerpts, so you can check them out!
September 14th, 2007 at 10:36 am
Oh, very nice. Thanks! I’ve been wanting to get back into reading science fiction, and this is a great place to start.

Love your list, Angela! From one sc-fi lover to another, keep up the great work! Your site is awesome.
Blessings,
Merrie

Hey, Karen just sent me over here…thanks for the plug. Be warned, though – Karen and I have a mutual admiration society. We absolutely love each other’s work. She astonishes me with the way she writes such different books, each one of them a “can’t-put-it-down”!
That’s a great list, btw. Many thanks.

Merrie – Thanks! I’m enjoying your blog as well!
Glenda – Thanks for stopping by as well! I’m looking forward to Heart of the Mirage. Notice, I couldn’t find a link to it on Amazon here in the States yet though.
